Ehrke leaving city of Glencoe for McLeod Co-op
Assistant City Administrator Dan Ehrke is leaving his post with the city for a job with McLeod Cooperative Power.
The announcement was a quiet one. It came Friday afternoon, Jan. 3, in the form of a help-wanted ad for a new assistant city administrator. The resignation was not mentioned on the city council’s agenda for its Jan. 6 meeting released Friday, Jan. 3.
Ehrke’s duties for the city included overseeing operations at Glencoe City Center as well as economic development and marketing the community. He was one of the city’s representatives on the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Authority. Ehrke was also involved with the city’s downtown revitalization committee. His last day with the city is Jan. 24. He’ll begin work with McLeod Cooperative Power Feb. 3.
