Evonne Helen Mueller, 70, of Glencoe

Evonne Helen (Lange) Mueller, 70, of Glencoe, died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, with loved ones by her side.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 14, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with the Rev. Daniel Welch officiating.
Dawn Wolter was the organist. Congregational hymns were “I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say,” “Be Still, My Soul,” “Lord of All Hopefulness” and “Amazing Grace.” The cemetery hymn was “Jesus Loves Me.”
Her nieces and nephews served as pallbearers. Interment was in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Glencoe.
Evonne Helen Mueller was born June 28, 1944, in Glencoe, to Arnold and Esther (Luehrs) Lange. She was baptized July 16, 1944, by the Rev. Scaller, and was confirmed on May 4, 1958, by the Rev. Plocher, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township, rural Glencoe. She graduated from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1962.
On May 18, 1963, she was united in marriage to Loren Mueller at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She made her home in Glencoe. She was a loving mother to her three sons, Dean, Daniel and Ryan.
Over the years, Mrs. Mueller was employed at various places in Glencoe, including First Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Glencoe Library, Security Bank & Trust, and Glencoe Regional Health Services. She semi-retired in 2012, but continued to work part time at Seneca Foods and The McLeod County Chronicle.
Mrs. Mueller was a proud and devoted mom, helping to care for her son Ryan during his recent illness. Family was very special to her and she enjoyed providing them with their favorite foods at holiday gatherings. She enjoyed gardening, sitting around the fire pit with friends, playing cards and bingo, and watching and feeding the birds that visited her backyard. She also loved to try new recipes and experience new restaurants, and enjoyed shopping for gifts for her grandkids.
She is survived by her sons, Dean (Tiffany) Mueller of Evanston, Ill., and Daniel (wife Michele Vig) of Edina; daughter-in-law, Jodi Mueller of Chanhassen; grandchildren, Axel and Esther Mueller, Julia and Owen Mueller, and Aubrey Mueller; brother, Leonard (Ruth) Lange of Glencoe; sister, Sylvia (Melvin) Jungclaus of Glencoe; nieces and nephews, Mark Jungclaus, Kirk Jungclaus, Scott Lilienthal, Kari Dose, Steve Lilienthal, Paul Lilienthal, Amy Goetsch, Lory Ratliff and Beth Sommers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Esther Lange; son, Ryan Mueller; and sister, JoAnn Lilienthal.
