Filing opens for three GSL Board seats

The terms of three Glencoe-Silver Lake school board members will end this year: Vice Chair Jason Lindeman, Director Clark Christianson, and Clerk Anne Twiss.
Filing will open for the office of school board member on July 31, 2018 and closes on August 14, 2018. Terms will be for four years and will begin on January 1, 2019.
In order to serve on the school board, a candidate must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district for 30 days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election.
In order to file for school board, an affidavit of candidacy must be filed at the District Office at 1621 E. 16th St., Glencoe, and the $2 filing fee is to be paid before 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2018. The general election will be on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
