Girls' CC 12th at Invite
The Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ cross-country team placed 12th with 290 points at the Norwood Young America Lions Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Baylor Park.
Malayh Metcalf led the way for the Panthers, taking fifth place in a time of 20 minutes, 14.9 seconds.
Majkya Metcalf was the second GSL finisher, taking 57th in 23:24.1. Kendall Guerrero was 69th in 23:53.7. Gia Venier (23:56.1) and Robin Swift (25:40.8) rounded out the varsity scoring by placing 71st and 88th, respectively.
Also running for the Panthers were: Tarin Michaelis (89th, 25:45.4) and Mariah Koester (99th, 27:38.2).
GSL ran at Crown College on Tuesday, after the Chronicle went to press. The Panthers host their annual invitational meet on Thursday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Stevens Seminary Stadium.
