Glencoe Business Expo set for Sunday, Feb. 22
Over 60 area businesses and organizations will be at the annual Glencoe Business Expo, set Sunday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Panther Field House.
Along with display booths, there will be the annual pancake breakfast by the Rotary Club, serving from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as several “break-out” sessions, including:
• Glencoe Woodworking Club’s “Woodworking: the Art Form,” at 10:30 a.m. Come see a presentation of woodworking tips and techniques.
• The Three Keys to Losing Weight and Keeping it Off, at 11:30 a.m. Laurie Gauer, independent certified health coach of Gauer Chiropractic Clinic, will present three key ingredients to get to a healthy weight and stay there.
• “The Midnight Gavel of Judge Lynch,” 12:30 p.m., presented by McLeod County Shriff Scott Rehmann, a historical look at the 1896 murder of Sheriff Joseph Rogers.
• “The Minnesota Robotics Challege,” 2:30 p.m., presented by the Glencoe-Silver Lake robotics team.
• Central Minnesota Jobs & Training’s “New Skills Training for Current Openings,” 3:30 p.m.
Also on tap will be entertainment by Sparkee and Markee, clowns, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Chuck and Jason Thiel’s Concertina Band, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and Fantastical Faces painting all day.
Concessions will be served by the Glencoe Lions Club from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
