Glencoe City Center on track for busiest year yet
The Glencoe City Center is on the way to having its busiest year since the center opened, including 27 weddings booked in 2018, according to Dan Ehrke, assistant city administrator. Ehrke gave a report at Monday afternoon’s City Council workshop.
He noted a significant increase in rental bookings. “This is the most weddings we will host in one year since the facility opened. Increased bookings can be attributed to more referrals and re-bookings. Furthermore, our marketing approaches have changed. We now have a website for the City Center (www.glencoecitycenter.com) and an expanded Facebook presence.”
Ehrke said things “took a dip last year,” when rental revenue was at about $44,500 compared to over $48,000 in 2016. So far in 2018, through June 30, rentals accounted for nearly $28,500.
