Glencoe VFW sweeps Delano

The Glencoe VFW Post 5102 baseball team kept up its winning ways by claiming a doubleheader sweep of visiting Delano on a gloriously comfortable night at Vollmer Field.
Carsen Streich took the ball as the starting pitcher for the opening game and tossed a two-hit, six-strikeout gem at the Tigers, allowing two earned runs over six innings in a 4-2 Panthers win.
Spencer Lepel and Chandler Glaseser both went 2-for-3 with one run scored, with Lepel joining Taylor Schauer and Dylan Richter with one RBI apiece in the contest.
Glaeser got the start in the nightcap and was impressive, allowing two hits, three walks and no earned runs while striking out four in a 10-2 Glencoe triumph.
Schauer swung the biggest bat on the night, going 2-for-4 with a triple, four RBI and one run scored. Gabe Roepke, Tyler Siewert and Joe Knudten each scored two runs apiece.
