Good Shepherd collection site for shoe boxes
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1407 Cedar Ave. N, Glencoe, will once again be a drop-off site for Samaritan Purse’s Operation Christmas Child.
Residents are encouraged to transform empty shoe boxes into gifts of hope filled with school supplies, hygiene items and fun toys. Operation Christmas Child will deliver these shoe box gifts to children affected by war, disease, poverty and famine.
For more information on how to participate, or to view gift suggestions, call 612-369-7023 or visit www.samar
itanspurse.org/occc. Participants can donate $9 per shoe box gift online, or can browse samaritanspurse.org/buildonline to select gifts matched to a child’s specific age and gender, then finish packing the virtual shoe box by adding a photo and a personal note of encouragement.
