GSL girls’ hoopsters hovering around .500
It was a pretty happy Christmas for the Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ basketball team.
The Panthers entered the holiday break with a .500 record after a 44-34 win at Jordan on Tuesday, Dec. 22 leveled GSL’s record at 4-4 on the season.
“We are 4-4, which is okay,” head coach Zach Otto-Fisher said. “We could be 2-6, we could be 6-2. So, we are right in the middle of that.”
It was a tight game against the Tigers, in a non-conference matchup that came after the final pre-holiday hours of school had ended.
Still over a month away from the return of forward Zoe Christensen, the Panthers faced off against yet another large frontcourt presence in the form of 6-foot-2 Karli Nielsen, but held her in check.
