GSL National Geographic Bee set Feb. 2
The Glencoe-Silver Lake (GSL) National Geographic Bee is set for Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m., in the GSL High School Media Center.
For the 28th year, the National Geographic Society is holding the National Geographic Bee for students in the fourth through eighth grades in thousands of schools throughout the United States and in five U.S. territories, as well as in Department of Defense dependents schools around the world.
The champion of the GSL bee will advance to the next level of competition, a qualifying test to determine the state competitors. All school champions are eligible to win the national championship and its first prize, a $50,000 college scholarship, at the national championship May 22-25 in Washington, D.C.
