GSL School Board begins process of grading superintendent’s performance
While grades of Glencoe-Silver Lake students are being compiled and recorded, the school board is beginning the assessment of Superintendent Chris Sonju’s performance the past year.
How the directors will reach their conclusions is unknown. The board declined a request for the criteria to be used in the assessment. The measures will be released when the board and its personnel committee announce its conclusions. That announcement is due at the July 13 board meeting.
From the outside looking in, Sonju has enjoyed a solid year. He had led a successful operating levy campaign and, with the help of other administrators, helped navigate the unchartered waters of distance learning this spring.
