GSL’s super mileage team brings home third-place hardware
They went to Brainerd primarily interested in recording the best results they could.
For the five members of the Glencoe-Silver Lake super mileage team, last week’s trip was mission accomplished.
The five students – Anna Salgado, Jon Ramige, Markus Fleck, Adam Garouette and Isaac Swift – are proof hard work and working to overcome difficulties pays off. The quintet earned third-place finishes in the E85 fuel-powered class and the electric-motor class Monday and Tuesday, May 13-14, at Brainerd International Raceway.
In the E85 class, GSL’s entry averaged 233 miles per gallon. Its car topped out at 296 mpg.
