Heat drives music in the park into the auditorium

The intense heat forced Silver Lake Music in the Park to be moved to the Silver Lake Auditorium Thursday, July 21, and drew a crowd of about 166 people.
On Thursday, July 28, the George Palma Band will provide music starting at 7 p.m. Grace Bible Church will serve lunch consisting of Mr. Rib sandwiches, chips, pickle, dessert and beverage starting at 6 p.m. The puppets from the church will perform starting at 6:15 p.m.
The following and final week, Jim’s Brewers will provide music and the Church of the Holy Family Council of Catholic Women will serve a lunch of seasoned pork patties, chips, pickle, dessert, and beverage.
There are prizes awarded throughout the evening.
Please bring your own lawn chair and join the activities in the park on Main Street. Activities will be moved to the Silver Lake Auditorium on Main Street in case of inclement weather, and it will be announced on KARP radio after 5 p.m.
The Music in the Park series precedes the Pola-Czesky Days celebration, which is Aug. 5-7.
