Henderson teen hurt in rollover

A Henderson teen was treated for minor injuries after a rollover accident near Henderson Wednesday, Dec. 6 at about 8:30 a.m.
According to the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Phillip Edward Champagne, 17, of Henderson was eastbound on 290th Street, about two miles west of Henderson, in a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, when he swerved to miss a deer, entered the north ditch and hit a driveway approach. The vehicle rolled once and landed on its wheels.
Champagne was taken by a family member to an area hospital to have minor injuries checked out. Champagne was wearing his seat belt. The vehicle was severely damaged.
Responding to the accident were the Henderson Fire Department, Ridgeview Ambulance from LeSueur and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office.
