Henry ‘Hank’ Pawlicki, 91, Silver Lake

Henry “Hank” Paul Pawlicki, 90, of Silver Lake, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Cedar Crest Estate.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Sept. 9, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with the Rev. Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Amy Kylochko was the reader and Alice Nowak was the organist.
Casket bearers were Paul Schultz, Russel Schurmann, Randy Schurmann, Mark Schurmann, Dean Schurmann and Alan Mickolichek.
Interment with military rites was in the St. Adalbert Cemetery in Silver Lake.
Henry “Hank”  Pawlicki was born May 29, 1926, in Hale Township, McLeod County, the son of Peter and Martha (Pawlak) Pawlicki.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his return from the service, he returned to farming. He also was formerly employed at Green Giant as a foreman.
Mr. Pawlicki enjoyed gardening, fishing and was a happy person.
Mr. Pawlicki suffered a stroke in 1993. With a lot of rehabilitation, he was released from the hospital and lived in St. Mary’s in Winsted, Orchard Estates in Glencoe, Lakeside Apartments, and finally Cedar Crest Estate in Silver Lake. He made many friends along the way. He will be remembered as a favorite uncle in the family.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Robert Schurmann of New Germany; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Veronica Schurmann and Dolores Schultz.
