Jacob Ellis Reno, 22, of Hutchinson

Jacob Ellis Reno, 22, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Jan. 10, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson with the Rev. Jerry Meidl officiating. Bev Wangerin was the organist and Bobbi Ludewig was the song leader. Musical selections were “Amazing Grace,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Here I Am, Lord” and “I Am the Bread of Life.”
Pallbearers were Matt Ludowese, Addison Juhl, Brent Neubauer, Tyler Doering, Mike Trettin and Jay Reading.
Jacob Ellis Reno was born Sept. 13, 1992, in Riverside, Calif., the son of Ellis Reno III and Michelle Monahan-Reno. He was baptized as an infant at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn and confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. He received his elementary education at St. Anastasia Catholic Parochial School and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School class of 2011. He furthered his education at Ridgewater College in Willmar. He resided in Hutchinson.
Mr. Reno was employed at Seneca Foods in Glencoe, where he was a food processing mechanic. In high school and college, he combined seasonally for Seneca Foods. He attended St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. He was a member of the Crow River Off Road Club in Hutchinson.
He enjoyed off-road 4x4 trucking, fishing, bowling and going to casinos. He also enjoyed watching auto-cross racing, watching movies and playing games on his X-Box. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He will be remembered for his beaming smile and his carefree attitude; he was a joy to be around and loved people. He struck up a conversation with everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother, Michele Monahan-Reno of Hutchinson; father, Ellis Reno III of Helendale, Calif.; brother, Shane Reno of Hutchinson; grandparents, Lee and Susie Monahan of Silver Lake, Mike and Linda Baker of Norco, Calif., and Ellis Reno II of Santa Rosa, Calif.; great-grandma, Mary Monahan of Hutchinson; aunts and uncles, Shawn and Dave Rubino of Eugene, Ore., Jeff and Kelli Monahan of Silver Lake, Todd and Shannon Konen of Silver Lake, Josh Monahan and Emily Vogt of Lester Prairie, Robin Koonce of Riverside, Calif., and Anna and Jeff Little of Norco, Calif.; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
