John Lipke will bring bipartisan leadership
To the Editor:
Glenn Gruenhagen is running for state representative in District 18B.
How did he vote in the legislative session? He voted “no” for a historic $735 million investment in education. He voted “no” for an increase in school funding by $484 million, including adding $236 million to the school funding formula, $158 per student over the next two years. He voted “no” to fully pay back the remaining $854 million owed to our schools, borrowed by the previous Legislature. He voted “no” for $134 million for all-day kindergarten. He voted “no” for $40 million for early childhood education scholarships to help 8,000 more children attend high-quality child care and preschool. He voted “no” for $250 million in higher education to freeze tuition and reduce student debt. He also voted “no” for $400 million for middle class property tax relief to 450,000 homeowners via the Homestead Credit Refund. He voted not to raise the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour.
With this voting record, I think he does not deserve another term as state representative.
Please vote for John Lipke, who will vote for the people of District 18B.
