Joyce Boesche, 92, of Glencoe

Joyce Mae Boesche

Joyce Mae Boesche, age 92, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 25, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 11 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Pastor Tyson Mastin will be the officiating clergy.
Yvonne Schuette will be the organist.
“What A Friend We Have In Jesus,” “Behold A Host, Arrayed In White” and “Lift High The Cross” will be the congregational hymns.
Andy McCain, Mitchell Boesche, Josh Boesche, Jonathan Boesche, Michael Boesche and Christopher Boesche will be the casket-bearers.
Joyce Mae Boesche was born May 18, 1927, in Minneapolis. She was the daughter of Edward and Cora (Heimkes) Boesche. Joyce was baptized as an infant July 10, 1927, by Pastor Schroedel at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 6, 1941, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 37:4. She received her education in Glencoe, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1945.
Joyce made her home in Glencoe. In addition to being a loving sister, aunt and homemaker, Joyce worked as a secretary at Onan’s and then as a bookkeeper at Bongards Creameries in Bongards. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, where she served on the church council, sang in the church choir and taught vacation Bible school and Sunday school.
Joyce was a strong independent woman and a perfectionist. Family always came first to Joyce and she was a second mom to all of her nephews and nieces. She was never happier than when surrounded by her family and friends. Joyce enjoyed crafts, making homemade cards, crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Joyce passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 25, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 7 days. Blessed be her memory.
Joyce is survived by her sisters-in-law, Glorian Boesche, Eileen Anderson, 11 nephews and nieces, Bruce Boesche and his wife, Ceil, Brian Boesche and his wife, Cheryl, Barry Boesche and his wife, Sandy, Brad Boesche and his wife, Kris, Jeff Boesche and his wife, Donna, Jon Boesche and his wife, Julie, Joel Boesche and his wife, Stephanie, Peter Gambucci, Geno Gambucci, Lisa Sepessy and her husband, Joe, Laura Gambucci; great nephews and nieces; other relatives and many friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Cora Boesche; siblings, Doris Boesche, Gene Boesche, Edward Boesche, Gloria Gambucci and her husband, Andy; niece, Kristine Gambuci.
