Judith Martineau, 74, of Hutchinson

Judith “Judy” Ann Martineau, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 9, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton with the Rev. R. Allan Reed officiating. Dawn Wolter was the organist, and congregational hymns were “How Great Thou Art,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “Just As I Am.”
Casket bearers were Tom Buck, Jerry Buck, Paul Dietmeier, Patrick McKinney, John Solfest and Tyler Pollmann. Interment will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, Wisconsin.
Judith “Judy” Ann Martineau was born Feb. 20, 1942, in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harry and Clara (Lee) Jacobson. She received her education in Superior, Wisconsin, and was a graduate of the Superior High School class of 1960. She furthered her education by attending vocational school in Superior for one year.
On Dec. 7, 1963, she was united in marriage to Edward Martineau in Pine City. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Holly and Thea. The couple moved to Brownton in 1970, and later moved to Hutchinson. They shared 35 years of marriage before Mr. Martineau’s death on Aug. 1, 1998.
Mrs. Martineau was a loving homemaker and mother. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton.
She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She liked watching television; her favorite shows were soap operas. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Mark) Pollmann of Glencoe; grandchildren, Tyler Pollmann of St. Cloud, Ashley (Collin) Gibis of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Brandon Kepler of Hutchinson and Nichole Kepler of Morgan; siblings, Elsie Michaelson of Dairyland, Wisconsin, and Karen (Kevin) Jacobson, Norman (Mary) Jacobson, Vernon Jacobson and Nancy Jacobson, all of Superior, Wisconsin; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clara (Lee) Jacobson; husband, Edward Martineau; daughter, Thea Kepler; and siblings, Claudia (John) Graves, Harry “Bud” (LaVerne) Jacobson, Richard Jacobson, Gordon Jacobson and Rolf (Rosemary) Jacobson.
