Justin J. Posusta, 24, of Belle Plaine

Justin James Posusta, 24, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Glencoe, known to many as “JP,” died Saturday, June 13, 2015, as the result of a motorcycle accident near his home in Belle Plaine.

Memorial services were held Thursday, June 18, at Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe, with the Rev. Katherine Rood officiating. Peg Hatlestad was the organist, and Kaily Viergutz was the lector. Congregational hymns were “Amazing Grace,” “In the Garden,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “You Are My Sunshine.”

Shauna Posusta was the urn bearer. Interment was in the Glencoe City Cemetery.

Justin James Posusta, known to many as “JP,” was born June 20, 1990, in Glencoe. He is the beloved son of James and Christine (Viergutz) Posusta, a brother to Shauna Posusta, and an uncle to Levi Plendl. He was baptized as an infant on July 29, 1990, by the Rev. Chet Hoversten, and was confirmed in his faith as a youth on Oct. 30, 2005, by the Rev. Brad Thom, both at Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe. He received his education in Glencoe, and was a graduate of the Glencoe-Silver Lake High School class of 2008.

He made his home in Glencoe and recently purchased his first home in Belle Plaine. He worked at Frana Companies in Hopkins, and recently started at Adolfson & Peterson Construction in St. Louis Park as a journeyman carpenter. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe. He also was a member of District 23 Motocross, ARMCA, AMA, Boy Scouts and Carpenters Union Local 322.

Justin strongly believed his faith in God is what got him through many things. He had many plans and big dreams. He loved anything that was fast, loud and had wheels, which included his talent and passion for racing motocross and riding and modifying his motorcycles. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and fireworks. He had a deep compassion for helping others, listening and protecting. He stood up for what he believed was right. He was there for you. Justin’s love of music started early, and he learned to play the piano and the guitar, and loved to listen to music, but it had to be loud. When he read, it was things he enjoyed, like biographies, motocross, “Lord of the Rings,” “Harry Potter,” and other fantasy books. He also enjoyed history, conspiracy theories, movies and shows. He was always surrounded by crosses; they had a deep meaning for him. He loved comedy; kids and adults couldn’t wait for him to show up at the track because he brought the laughs, antics and lit it up wherever he went. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by the love of his life, Kristi Kling and her children, Tucker and Trevyn, of Belle Plaine; his parents, Jim and Chris Posusta of Glencoe; sister, Shauna Posusta and the love of her life, Colton Kruzel, of Waverly; nephew, Levi Plendl; paternal grandparents, Tony Jr. and Avis Posusta of Silver Lake; maternal grandparents, Willard and Bonnie Viergutz of Echo; uncles and aunts, Ron and Brenda Posusta, Mike and Wanda Posusta, Ralph and Mona Posusta, Roger and Sandy Posusta, Doug Viergutz and Chukk Viergutz; many cousins; and a host of many families and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; uncle, Larry Posusta; and aunt, Ann Steinbeisser.

Arrangements were with the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel of Glencoe. Online obituaries and guest book are available at www.hantge.
