Kathleen Deragon, 67, of Hutchinson
Kathleen “Kathy” Deragon, 67, of Hutchinson, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, June 10, at Riverside Assembly of God in Hutchinson with Dr. Lee Allison officiating. Mariah Ralsten Deragon was the vocalist.
Honorary pall bearers were her grandchildren. Inurnment was in the Dassel Community Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 19, 1949, in Dassel, the daughter of Embert and Donna (Johnson) Sorenson.
Mrs. Deragon was formerly a part owner in a trucking company, was a certified nursing assistant at Lakeview Ranch in Dassel and Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson, and also worked at 3M in Hutchinson for many years.
She loved cooking, scrapbooking, crafts, spending time with family and friends, sitting outside during the evening, and flowers and plants. She also enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s events. She was a faithful member of Riverside Assembly of God Church in Hutchinson and coordinated senior dinners and game nights.
She is survived by her husband, James K. Deragon; children, Jason (Dean) Brede of Chaska, Jessica Brede-Peak of Plymouth and Jennifer (Jacob) Knick of Brownton; grandchildren, Brooke Brede Wickenhauser, Darian Brede, Cassandra Klasner, Ashton Brede, Grant and Gavin Kugath, Jasmine Knick, Cadence Knick, Isaiah Deragon, Caiden Schroeder, Ayanna Bigboy and Shenoa Bigboy; great-granddaughter, River Rose-Kathleen; stepchildren, Deborah (Dean) Deragon of Ashland, Wisconsin, Karri (Brad) Bigboy of Odanah, Wisconsin, Michael Deragon of Hutchinson, Nicolas (Mariah) Deragon of Hutchinson and Isaac (Allie) Deragon of St. Paul; a brother, Roger Sorenson of Willmar; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Embert and Donna Sorenson.
