Lady Panthers win SE Tournament

With a clean sweep of the Southeast Invitational Tournament in Gaylord on Saturday, Sept. 26, the Glencoe-Silver Lake volleyball team improved to 16-4 on the season in claiming their first tourney title of the autumn.

The Lady Panthers swept through 10 straight games in winning five matches against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (25-15, 25-15), Norwood Young America (25-19, 25-15 and 25-14, 25-19), Springfield (25-18, 25-20) and Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (25-18, 25-17).

“Ball control proved to be a key strength this weekend to put us on top,” coach Lori Schwirtz said.
