LaVerne Trocke

LaVerne A. Trocke, 84, of Hamburg, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m., at Church of Peace in Norwood Young America with the Rev. Dale Inman and Chaplain Helmar Heckel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday one hour prior to the service, all at the church.
Casket bearers are Tamara Retka, Chad Hoese, Jon Hoese, Clinton Dammann and April Dammann. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Norwood Young America.
LaVerne Trocke was born Sept. 16, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Erma (Hasse) Proehl. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township, Cologne. On Jan. 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Glen G. Trocke at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township, Cologne.
She loved working alongside her husband Glen on the farm, doing whatever needed to be done. She also worked for 20 years at Ridgeview Medical Clinic in Waconia in housekeeping. She enjoyed a good game of cards with friends, gardening, canning, crocheting and an occasional trip to the casino.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Glen Trocke; daughters, Sharon Hoese (fiancé Bruce Mortenson) of Glencoe and Carol Dammann of Glencoe; grandchildren, Tamara and Noah Retka, Chad Hoese and Shaina, Jon Hoese, Clinton and Nicole Dammann and April Dammann; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Retka, Amelia Retka and Baby Dammann due in November; sister, Gloria Amend of Cologne; brothers and sister-in-law, Henry and Marlys Proehl Jr. of Dundas; uncle, Cklair (Lorraine) Hasse of Glencoe; sister-in-law, Gertrude Heuer of Norwood Young America; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Erma Proehl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Douglas AmEnd, John and Millie Trocke, Bill and Marcella Trocke, Henry and Dorothy Trocke, Alida and Larry Quinn, Herbert Heuer, Roland and Mae Zehnder, Hillard and MaryAnn Kroells, Francis Wuetherich and Gilbert Wuetherich.
