Local businesswoman needs our support

To the Editor:
OK, so I’ve never done anything like this before, but I’m going to do it now and I need your help.
We all know what a wonderful person Janette Goettl is and the battle she is fighting. We can and should continue praying for her healing and recovery and that showing of support is priceless. However, I think we can and should do more. Prayers are great, but what about being a part of the answer to a prayer.
As you can imagine, owning and running a business when fighting cancer has to be a challenge. We all know the fine folks at the Health Nut Pantry and should applaud them for their efforts while Janette is focused on getting well. As you know, Janette started the Health Nut Pantry after battling cancer the first time, not to help herself, but to help all of us. So, I think the very least we can do is to help her now and be part of the answer to her prayers.
I’m going to challenge everyone to do what they can to support her business but, more importantly, support her. I stopped by with a gift to help her in this fight. It was a white unmarked envelope, and it had cash in it. I want to challenge you all to do the same, whether it’s tomorrow, Saturday, or anytime next week or the week after that. If each of us does a little, it will have the power to be life changing.
The staff at the Health Nut will know what to do with the envelopes and it will all be anonymous. Anything you can do will be meaningful. While you are there, buy some healthy food. Continue the prayers and share this with as many as you can who know and love Janette as much as I do. After you share it, share it again and do whatever you can. God Bless!
