Loren L. Landkammer, 71, of Glencoe

Loren Lee Landkammer, 71, of Glencoe, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 10, at Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe with the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Lon Roach was the organist. Congregational hymns were “Here I Am, Lord,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Prayer of St. Francis.”
Urn bearers were Austin Landkammer, Trevor Landkammer, Tyler Landkammer, Kaiden Landkammer, Jon Boelter, Luke Boelter, Paul Boelter, Isabelle Boelter, Cole Boelter, Cameron Boelter, Kyle Boelter, Noah Huberty, Zach Huberty and Faith Huberty.
Loren Leo Landkammer was born June 1, 1943, in Springfield, the son of Leo and Fern (Smith) Landkammer. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education in Sleepy Eye, attending Sleepy Eye High School. He further his education by attending meat-cutting school.
On Feb. 11, 2000, He was united in marriage to LeAnn Boelter in Kauai, Hawaii. He made his home in Sleepy Eye and Glencoe. His life was blessed with three children, Paul, Kristine and Brian, and six stepchildren, Brian, Greg, Gordon, Russell, Cheryl and Marcia. Loren and LeAnn Landkammer shared over 14 years of marriage.
Mr. Landkammer worked as a meat cutter at SuperValu in Glencoe. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, watching sporting events, gaming and vacationing. He was a friendly man who loved socializing with others. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, LeAnn Landkammer of Glencoe; children, Paul (Michelle) Landkammer of Lakeville, Kristine (Brett) Workman of Lonsdale, and Brian (Stephanie) Landkammer of Gaylord; stepchildren, Brian (Dinah) Boelter of Prior Lake, Greg (Mary) Boelter of Savage, Gordon Boelter of Pittsburgh, Pa., Russell (Susan) Boelter of Plymouth, Cheryl (Brian) Huberty of Shakopee, and Marcia Boelter of Chicago; grandchildren, Austin Landkammer, Trevor Landkammer, Tyler Landkammer and Kaiden Landkammer; stepgrandchildren, Jon Boelter, Luke Boelter, Paul Boelter, Isabelle Boelter, Cole Boelter, Cameron Boelter, Kyle Boelter, Noah Huberty, Zach Huberty and Faith Huberty; siblings Richard (Ruth) Landkammer of Glencoe, Donald (Mary Ann) Landkammer of Waseca, Marvin “Smokey” Landkammer of Denver, Colo., and Roman (Katherine) Landkammer of Sleepy Eye; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Fern Landkammer; sisters, Delores Sellner, Lois Hendricks, and Marlene Balk; and brother, Steven Landkammer.
