Marilyn ‘Lynn’ Larson, 82, of Glencoe
Marilyn “Lynn” Jean Larson, 82, of Glencoe, formerly of Minnetonka, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Bertas Funeral Home in Chaska. Interment was Tuesday in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Marilyn Larson was born May 24, 1932, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Herman and Eunice (Jarvis) Harms. She was one of two children. She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1950, and received an associate degree from Metropolitan State in Minneapolis.
On Aug. 15, 1953, she married Roy Larson at Concordia Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She was employed at Miller Publishing for 12 years, Web Publishing and McGraw Hill Publishing. She and her husband lived in Minnetonka for about 20 years. Mrs. Larson will be remembered for her creativity, artistic ability and her grace.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Roy Larson; sons, Eric (Ellen) Larson of Chaska, and their children, Nicholas, Lucas and Kristen, and Steven (Ellen) Larson of Burnsville, and their daughter, Katelynn; brother, Gordon (Clarice) Harms of Plymouth; and her dog, Lily, a joy in her life.
Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home in Chaska.
