Marty Klockmann Jr., 46, of Brownton

Marty Klockmann
Martin “Marty” Phillip Klockmann Jr., 46, of Brownton, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in an accident near his home in the country by Brownton.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 27, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn with the Rev. Bradley Danielson officiating. Kara Scholla was the organist. Soloist Corina Miller sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” Congregational hymns were “Amazing Grace” and “Nearer, My God, to Thee.”
 
Honorary casket bearers were Ashley Rickheim, Nicole Duehn, Levi Silfverston, Natalie Silfverston, Paizley Alsleben, Mylah Alsleben, Crystal Kanduth, Chelsea Kanduth, Courtney Kanduth, Bryce Karl, Kendra Karl, Larrissa Karl, Lee Karl, Lane Karl, Trey Weispfennig, Trent Weispfennig and Tia Weispfennig.
 
Casket bearers were Steve Kanduth, Harlan Rickheim, Chad Duehn, Leif Silfverston, Seth Schuette, Peter Arnold, Brett Rickheim, Cole Duehn, Jamie Klockmann and Chuck Goettl.
 
Martin “Marty” Phillip Klockmann Jr., the son of Martin and Susan (Schuette) Klockmann, was born Oct. 23, 1968, in Gaylord. He was baptized as an infant on Nov. 3, 1968, by the Rev. Walter Oelhafen Sr. at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop, and was confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 22, 1983, by the Rev. R.W. Koepp at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. He graduated from Brownton High School with the class of 1987 and furthered his education at Brainerd Technical College.
 
On July 31, 1993, he married his high school sweetheart, Heidi Lynn Kujas, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. Together, Marty and Heidi built their lives near their family in the Brownton area. There, they were blessed with two children, Stephanie Ann, 19, and Mitchel Martin, 13. The family continued their faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn. They shared over 21 years of marriage and many more in memories.
 
Family has always been at the top of Marty Klockmann’s priority list. He was constantly dropping personal projects to help others out. He enjoyed spending a majority of his free time teaching Steph and Mitch how to hunt, fish and shoot a basketball. He even voluntarily coached his children’s sports teams.
 
His contagious personality and strong work ethic carried over into his work life at Eastside Ford in Gaylord, HTI and Ag Systems in Hutchinson, and currently at Arnold’s in Glencoe. He was loved by all people he came in contact with and considered his co-workers and clients a part of his extended family.
 
He is survived by his wife, Heidi Klockmann of Brownton; daughter, Steph Klockmann and her special friend, Justin Raduenz, of Brownton; son, Mitchel Klockmann of Brownton; mom, Susan and Glenn Alsleben; mother-in-law, Karen and Willard Karl; sisters, Jodi and Harlan Rickheim and their children, Ashley and Brett, Gina and Chad Duehn and their children, Cole and Nicole, and Angie and Leif Silfverston and their children, Levi and Natalie; brother, Dan and Sarah Alsleben and their children, Paizley and Mylah; sisters-in-law, Holly and Steve Kanduth and their children, Crystal, Chelsea and Courtney, and Jody and Kevin Weispfennig and their children, Trey, Trent and Tia; brothers-in-law, Tim and Kathey Karl and their children, Bryce and Kendra, and Les and Linda Karl and their children, Larrissa, Lee and Lane; grandparents, Eunice Schuette, Bernetta Alsleben and Edwin Becker; and other relatives and many friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Klockmann; brother, Jon Alsleben; father-in-law, Gerald Kujas; grandparents, Melvin and Frieda Klockmann, Delmer Schuette, Alvin Alsleben, Edward and Thusnelda Kujas and Dorothy Becker.
