Mary Linda Husberg, 70, of Glencoe

Mary Linda (Hensel) Husberg, 70, of Glencoe, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, May 24, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with the Rev. Daniel Welch officiating. Luke Dahl was the organist. Special music by the First Evangelical Lutheran School children was “Father Welcomes.” Congregational hymns were “I Heard the Voice of Jesus” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.”
Interment will be at a later date.
Mary Linda (Hensel) Husberg was born June 26, 1946, in Fairmont, the daughter of Edward and Linda (Hilgemeier) Hensel. She was baptized as an infant and was confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Winnebago. She furthered her education by graduating from Concordia College in St. Paul, with a teaching degree.
On June 20, 1970, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Husberg at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago. After their marriage, they moved to New York, and  then in 1980, made their home in Glencoe. They were blessed with two children, Sarah and Mikhael. They shared over 46 years of marriage.
Mrs. Husberg’s first teaching job was in Watertown, Wisconsin, 10 years in New York City, and then at First Evangelical Lutheran School in Glencoe, teaching social studies for fifth through eighth graders for 37 years. She was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She also volunteered at the Health Nut Pantry in Glencoe.
She enjoyed antiques, garage sales and family, treasuring time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Husberg of Glencoe; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Husberg of Glencoe; son, Mikhael Gideon Husberg of Glencoe; grandchild, Iris Husberg of Glencoe; sister, Alice (Donald) Hart of Shakopee; brother Richard (Gloria) Hensel of Elk River; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Linda Hensel; sister, Evelyn Swenson; and brother, Robert Hensel.
