Mavis Frauendienst, 69, of New Auburn, died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 18, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn with interment in the High Island Cemetery in New Auburn.
Mavis Lily Frauendienst was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Glencoe, the daughter of Alvin and Eileen (Schauer) Harbarth. She was baptized as an infant on Jan. 23, 1949, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, and confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 7, 1963, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She received her education in Gaylord.
On Aug. 27, 1966, she was united in marriage to Edwin Frauendienst at Peace Lutheran Church in Glencoe. After their marriage, the couple resided in New Auburn. Mrs. Frauendienst was employed at Fingerhut and was currently employed at Michael Foods in Gaylord. The couple was blessed with three children and shared 51 years of marriage.
Mrs. Frauendienst was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn and the ladies aid.
She was a hard worker and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working on the farm, baling hay, driving tractor, camping in Hackensack, shopping, going to craft sales, traveling, especially to Nashville, watching RFD-TV, and helping others. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Frauendienst of New Auburn; children, Tim Frauendienst (special friend Sue Mathews) of Gaylord and Tom (Danielle) Frauendienst of Gaylord; grandchildren, John (Gretta) Frauendienst, Jacob Frauendienst (special friend Abby Berkness) and Jayla Frauendienst; siblings, Marlys (Jerome) of Glencoe, Lois (Gerald) Urban of Amboy and Doris Will of Gaylord; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Eileen Harbarth; and daughter, Tamara Marlys Frauendienst.
