McLeod County restricts burning
McLeod County and surrounding areas have been placed in a Fire Weather Watch by the Minnesota DNR, and McLeod County Emergency Services Director Kevin Mathews said that the hazardous weather outlook indicates McLeod County should restrict burning again today. Burning restrictions for McLeod County will be in place throughout the weekend. They will be revisited the early part of next week.
A Fire Weather Watch has been issued this afternoon for central and southern Minnesota... Southerly winds of 20 mph...with gusts of 25 to 30 mph are expected this afternoon. Meanwhile relative humidity values will be very dry, near 25 percent.
