McLeod County will revamp its website in 2016

McLeod County took the first step Tuesday toward revamping its website by approving a $40,300 contract with Revize to redesign the site.
Information Technology Director Vince Traver said the company will work with a county committee to redesign the website, and expects the process to take about 21 weeks.
Included in the $40,300 fee is $9,700 for support and hosting for the first year. That $9,700 will become an ongoing annual fee, Traver said, with another redesign planned in four years.
Commissioner Paul Wright said a redesign of the website has long been a topic for the county.
“It’s nice to see this project get under way,” said Wright.
Traver agreed, noting that the current website was implemented in 2003.
Traver said Revize was chosen from a field of seven vendors, primarily because Revize will provide unlimited storage space, provide another redesign after four years, and custom create a needed tool for the website at no cost.
