McLeod PAC approves agenda items, talks about solar gardens
The McLeod County Planning Advisory Commission (PAC) met on Wednesday, Sept. 26 to discuss and approve two conditional use permits and a sketch plan. The commission also talked about the sudden and unrelenting emergence of solar gardens in the county after the meeting was recessed.
Many members of the Pawlicki family attended the meeting hoping for approval for a second dwelling on the property owned by Eileen Pawlicki — an elderly woman who seeks the second dwelling for family care reasons.
Richard Sturges received PAC approval for a 36 x 40 foot addition onto an existing pole shed on his property. Before approval — The commission decided to change one of the conditions relating to storage. Initially — The condition stated, “No outdoor storage shall be allowed on this property.” It decided to change the “No” in the condition to “Limited” to ensure that Sturges can continue to store bigger items outside that the commission didn’t take issue with.
