Officers seek driver who fled after vehicle pursuit
The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman who fled on foot after a vehicle pursuit that started shortly after midnight on Sunday, Aug. 7.
The sheriff’s office is seeking information on the whereabouts of the alleged driver, Jacqueline Rodriguez, 22, of Gaylord.
According to the sheriff’s office, the chase started on Highway 169 with the Belle Plaine Police Department in pursuit. The pursuit went about 11 miles, and ended in Sibley County, about five miles south of Gaylord. The driver fled on foot into a corn field; a passenger was taken into custody. Over a half-pound of methamphetamine was found in the vehicle, along with counterfeit money.
Arrested was Oscar Garcia Jr., 53, of Mankato, who was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance. He appeared in court Monday, and bail was set at $50,000 cash and/or $400,000 bond.
