Panther’s tennis unable to claw back from early deficits
The Panthers dropped their tennis match against the New London-Spicer Wildcats Tuesday, Sept. 24, and weren’t able to win a match against conference competition Thursday, Sept. 26.
Despite their best efforts, the Panthers’ tennis team couldn’t get their footing against New London-Spicer, unable to win a set against their conference foes. Two days later, the Panthers struggled against Annandale, Mound-Westonka, Litchfield and the Wildcats, unable to force a third set in any match.
The Wildcats’ Ava Hanson handily defeated Glencoe-Silver Lake’s number one solo Taylor Hatlestad in their Sept. 24 and Sept. 26 matches, beating Hatlestad 6-1 in two sets to sweep and then 6-2 and 6-0 to sweep the second matchup.
