Panthers’ girls finish 7th among 30 teams in Duluth Invitational

The Panthers’ girls cross-country team finished seventh among a grand total of 30 teams at the highly-revered Swain Invitational in Duluth on Saturday, Oct. 5. The girls team didn’t run at the Litchfield Invitational a few days before so they were prepared and fresh for this meet.
Coach Josh Metcalf said the story of the day was “crazy weather.” The running course was muddy and slippery, even causing a few Panther runners to slip and fall, unable to find their footing consistently. The weather was in the 40-degree range for the entirety of the race, which in itself, Metcalf said, isn’t that big of a problem.
