Panthers charge past D-C for third win in row

A third consecutive victory has the Glencoe-Silver Lake football team back over the .500 mark for the first time since Sept. 2.
The Panthers improved to 4-3 on the year by rolling past Dassel-Cokato for a 38-13 triumph in GSL’s final regular season home game.
Chances that the Panthers will be back at Stevens Seminary Stadium for the opening of the Section 2AAA Tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 25 greatly improved as GSL rallied from an initial 7-0 deficit with four consecutive touchdowns on a brisk and windy night on the north end of Glencoe.
The Chargers recorded the first touchdown of the night on a 13-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and carried the advantage into second quarter before a two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Luke Frahm got the hosts on the board.
GSL took the lead for good as Frahm’s two-point conversion pass to running back Carsen Streich made the count 8-7 in favor of the Panthers with just under 90 seconds to play in the first half.
