Panthers rally past Royals in three overtimes
There was only one game on the schedule last week for the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ basketball team, but what a game it was.
After trailing visiting Watertown-Mayer by as many as 13 points in the second half, the Panthers rallied time and again and earned an 85-81 victory in three overtimes.
Both teams were tied 14-all midway through the opening half. But after back-to-back three pointers, the Royals surged to a 28-22 halftime lead.
W-M’s was in full swagger mode as the visitors built a double-digit lead through the opening minutes of the second half.
