Panthers split a pair in WCC play
A split of last week’s pair of games gave the Glencoe-Silver Lake baseball team an 8-3 record as it heads into Thursday’s Wright County Conference West tilt at Dassel-Cokato.
It’s been a bit of a light stretch for the Panthers, giving the squad a bit of a break after a quick blitz of games in mid-to-late April.
The Panthers opened their two game stretch in an unfortunate manner as host Litchfield rolled to a 15-6 win on Tuesday, April 28.
The lopsided result countered GSL’s 6-5 season-opening defeat of the Dragons on April 10.
Tanner Grack the winning pitcher in the first meeting between the teams, was charged with the loss after giving up 11 runs over three innings of work. However, only six of those runs were earned.
