Parents concerned about lunch program
Jodi and David Redman, representing concerned Helen Baker parents, told the Glencoe-Silver Lake School Board Monday, Nov. 14, that their son is coming home from kindergarten hungry every day.
At first they thought it was an adjustment to kindergarten, but as it has continued, their concerns have grown.
In doing further research by talking to other parents, conducting a Facebook poll, and visiting the school once at lunch time, the Redmans feel that the students are not given enough time to eat their lunches. They have heard that sometimes a student only has three minutes.
