Plato still perfect on the road, winless at home

The Plato Blue Jays went 2-1 last week, winning a pair of mid-week road games before losing a close one at home on Sunday. In a curious case, Plato is 7-0 on the road this spring, but was 0-3 at Blue Jay Stadium heading into Tuesday’s tilt against Hamburg, played after the Chronicle went to press.
Blue Jays 18,
Cologne 1
The Blue Jays began last week with a bang, posting their largest margin of victory this spring in an 18-1 throttling of host Cologne on Tuesday, June 9. Plato tallied 17 hits in the game, with the squad also benefitting from five Hollanders errors.
Blue Jays starting pitcher Cody Hallahan took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before Cologne nabbed its lone run of the game on three hits and an error. Hallahan was dominant otherwise, striking out seven and walking two to go with the three hits and one earned run.
Brian Graupmann logged four RBI, while falling a triple short of the cycle on a 3-for-5 evening. He netted seven total bases on a home run, a double and a single. Nolan Lepel and Kyle Panning each had three RBI, with Lepel and Chris Odegaard both scoring three times. Panning claimed six total bases and needed a homer for the cycle after recording a single, a double and a triple.
