Pre-Heat, Heat in the Street events on tap for this weekend

The Glencoe Fire Department’s Heat in the Street music festival is set for Saturday, July 25.
The event will kick off with a Pre-Heat Party on Friday, July 24, at 5 p.m. hosted by the Glencoe Days Committee. The Friday night event will be held in the City Center parking lot and admission is free.
The pre-party will feature food and live music by the Chad Edwards Band. Activities will include barrel rides, a bean bag tournament, bouncy house, face painting, hammerschlagen, karate demonstrations, hula hoop contests, sidewalk chalk drawing and more.
Heat in the Street tickets and meet and greet passes with Montgomery Gentry and Eric Paslay will be given away during the pre-party.
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Saturday night for the Heat in the Street concert in the city center parking lot. The main stage will feature Chris Hawkey at 6 p.m., followed by Eric Paslay at 8 p.m. and then headliner Montgomery Gentry will take the stage at 10 p.m.
The Plott Hounds will play in the beer tent at 5 p.m. and midnight.
K102 will be at both the pre-party and music festival on Friday and Saturday night.
Tickets are $35 if purchased before July 24 and $40 at the gate. All proceeds benefit the Glencoe Fire Department Relief Association.
Outside food is not permitted but vendors will be selling food for those in attendance.
Bring your own lawn chairs for seating. Oversized parking is available with permit.
