Project financing, 2020 levy on S.L. council’s agenda at workshop
The Silver Lake City Council has been discussing over the last couple of months the possibility of a major infrastructure project funded by the USDA rural development program.
The first step in the process is to submit a preliminary engineering report on the proposed $7.5 million project for review to the USDA. The cost to complete the report will be at least $100,000.
The council met with the city’s financial advisor at a workshop Thursday, Sept. 5 to discuss options to finance the report.
