Rainfall does little to dampen music event

Rain forced over 220 people inside the Silver Lake Auditorium rather than gathering in the Legion Park to enjoy the weekly music. Lowell Schubert and friends, Nancy Buckentine, and brother and sister, Nancy Brooks and Bob Schroeder, provided music. Lunch was served by the Silver Lake Women’s Club.
 
Alice and the Ol’ Boys will provide music Thursday, July 23, beginning at 7 p.m., hopefully in the Legion Park on Main Street. The Mariner’s Club of Faith Presbyterian Church will serve a lunch of hot pork sandwiches, chips, pickles, dessert, and beverage starting at 6 p.m.
 
Please bring your own lawn chair. In case of rain, an announcement will be made on KARP radio by 5 p.m.
