Roger C. Lietz, 73, of Arlington

Roger C. Lietz, 73, of Arlington, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
 
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 22, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington. Interment was in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Auburn Township.
 
Roger C. Lietz was born Sept. 26, 1942, in New Ulm, to John and Elenor (Sievert) Lietz. He was a 1960 graduate of Brownton High School. He married Mary Lundberg on Sept. 2, 1967, in Arlington. He was an insurance agent, farmer and, for the last 23 years, had a daily paper route. He was a proud Gopher fan, member of Gideon International, longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of great faith and loved to tell stories about his family.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lietz of Arlington; daughters, Amy Kohls of Woodville, Wisconsin, Jill (Chad) Christenson of Forest Lake and Sarah (Todd) Loechler of Prior Lake; grandchildren, Janessa and McKenzie Kohls, Cayden, Colby, Cullen and Charli Christenson, and Neva, Jett and Lily Loechler; siblings, Robert Lietz of Oak Park, Illinois, John (Sandy) Lietz of Hutchinson and Jane (Norman) Wolfe of Vancouver, Washington.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ruth Close, Julie Riegert, Joel Lietz and Randy Lietz.
