School board fills community ed. director’s spot
Weeks after it quietly approved a medical leave of absence for its community education director Tina Schauer, the Glencoe-Silver Lake School Board has found a temporary replacement.
The board voted 4-1 in a special meeting Monday, Aug. 26, to appoint Matt Muenchow to the position for a 10-month span ending June 10. He’ll be paid $55,192 for the work, which includes overseeing the community education department and field house operations. Director Jamie Alsleben voted against the position, citing a strong held belief the person holding the post should have the appropriate license for a community education director.
