Sheriff Rehmann announces retirement
McLeod County Sheriff Scott Rehmann announced his plans to retire Sept. 22.
In a letter to the county board, Rehmann said he is retiring after suffering a stroke Aug. 30. It affected the right side of his body, impacting his ability to perform the essential functions of the job such as driving a vehicle, holding a firearm and perform many of the other basic tasks needed to work as a law enforcement officer.
