Sibley County historical group sets meetings, museum hours
The Sibley County Historical Society is resuming its meetings every fourth Tuesday of the month through October.
The society will meet Tuesday, May 23, at 7 p.m., in the Henderson City Library meeting room. The topic is “Crazy Quilts” with guest speaker Sandi Andersen. Andersen is an avid quilter who also hosts classes on making quilts and other craft items. She will speak on the history of quilts and their designs.
The official opening day for the museum is Memorial Day following the Memorial Day service. The museum will be open Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. through October. The museum also will be open the first Tuesday of each month in conjunction with the J.R. Brown Center during Henderson’s Classic Car Roll In.
