Silver Lake Council reviews survey results

The city of Silver Lake conducted a citywide survey in September 2014. The city’s planning commission hand delivered 358 surveys to city residents; 140 were returned.
 
The data has been compiled and the planning commission met to discuss the results. The commission’s discussion and survey results were presented to the City Council at its regular meeting Monday, June 15.
 
Of the 140 responses, 129 were homeowners and nine renters. Single family home owners accounted for 132 responses.
 
The average number of bedrooms in the houses of the respondents was 3.03 and the average age of the homes is 79.79 years.
 
On average, 2.79 people live at each residence. Over half of the household residents are over 40 years of age, and 56 percent with a total household income of over $50,000.
