Simon & Garfunkel tribute set for Sept. 9 in Glencoe

The Glencoe Performing Artists Series presents “Scarborough Fair, a Simon and Garfunkel Experience.” Prepare to fall in love again with the music of Simon and Garfunkel.
The Guthrie Brothers, Jeb and Jock, will be at the Glencoe-Silver Lake High School auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. Through songs, stories, trivia and humor, they pay homage to the music of Simon and Garfunkel and engage the audience along the way. The show highlights the brothers’ deep connection to this music, and to the 1960s, the time period that made it all happen.
Jeb and Jock Guthrie perform this tribute show with authenticity in an acoustic style. The brothers have been singing together for as long as either one of them can remember, resulting in a perfect blend of harmonies. Both play guitar and sing, and add a bit of percussion and bass from time to time.
