SL Council approves aquatic center deck improvements
At its regular meeting Monday evening, the Silver Lake City Council approved extending the cement deck at the Bruce Maresh Aquatic Center.
Dale Kosek, member of the Silver Lake Pool and Parks Organization, said the group is proposing to extend the cement deck 25 feet on the west end of the pool, near the zero entry.
“The extension includes 25 feet of decking and new fencing,” Kosek said.
He said improvements also including adding at least one additional umbrella patio set.
“We’ve gotten so many comments from young moms about how crowded it is on that side of the pool,” Kosek said about extending the deck.
He said the organization is also looking at adding two new play features for toddlers, including a fish and a frog that squirt mists of water.
